I have a 97 xtra cab lariet with a 4.6. My factory exhausts exits in front of the passenger rear wheel. My question is about the MAC lightning cat back. It exits where mine does but would it fit if I used a y pipe to turn my single exhaust into double like the kit is. I guess I am just wondering about space since the lightning is a single cab and I have an extended cab.

 

All I can see is that you would have more room to get the setup in place. Since its a DI, cut out your factory Y-Pipe and get those2 2.5" pipes to mate up to the MAC catback.
