Need Help with Exhaust setup....

Well I am kinda new to the F-150 world. Always had a car all my life well I still do but I got my F-150 XLT for towing one of my Drag Cars. Anyways I was wanting to do some mods to it to help it when I tow. I was wanting to do the exhaust system to help it breath a bit better. Now what I don't know is what size should I go? And what kind of muffler have you guys put on it? I am looking for a NICE DEEP tone sound but nothing too loud cause it is a pulling truck for me so I don't want it too loud cause I do alot of traveling when I race. Well if anyone has any thoughts let me know. I have a buddy that works at a muffler shop so I can get stuff done there cheap. I was thinking stainless but not sure what you all think. Well let me know any info would be great.

I had a spintech a little to much drone for me... i replaced it with the Magnaflow #14468 D/I D/O muffler and it is just right not too loud but nice tone and no drone ....Just have them remove the factory "Y" pipe and install the 14468. For me would be the way to go ...just my opinion of course.
