Exhaust Help

I'm new to trucks, and looking for a exhaust system that will give me gains all over he rpm. I do mostly town driving and highway, about 50/50. I want something that will give me more power over stock, and increase feul economy. I run low 82 octane, and want to keep running it. I will have it installed at an muffler shop.

They got some Flowtech headers at Lordco Auto Parts for $186cdn, are they any good?

You don't mention what engine you have?

I have a '01 Supercrew w/5.4L and just complete "a lot" of research on exhausts. I was wanting to go with headers and duels, but have found out that you loose a lot of low end doing this. I've gone with what looks like the most recommended (a least from my research; you will get a lot of opinions) MagnaFlow 3" SI/SO and replacing the factory "Y" pipe. You can give Mike Troyer over on the Computer Chips side a holler, he has done a lot of research with the Fords and will lead you in the right direction. IMHO! He's the Superchips_Distributor
Good luck.

In order of cost:

Replace just the stock muffler with a 3" free flowing one (I prefer Magnaflow)
Replace the stock y-pipe with a good one (Flowmaster or Magnaflow) and the muffler above or replace with a Magnaflow single 3" to dual 2.5" muffler with built in y-pipe)
