Manual trans?
Has anyone found info or seen a successful manual transmission installation into an Excursion?

did they not offer some from the factory? i was looking though a book at work and it showed the zf tranny...

I've never seen an Excursion for sale with a manual transmission, so I made the poor assumption it wasn't available. Oops

Nope, the Excursion was never offered with a manual. That's not to say that a swap can't be done, after all it was based on a Super Duty truck.

I guess now the question is, can the Excursion's PCM be updated so it would "know" there's a manual transmission.

Any custom tuner will be able to do it (PHP, Troyer if you feel like waiting for 2 years)

If I get one, it'll have a 7.3L
