I picked up a new 2000 Limited, with the V10 (but would rather have one of the diesels now) the fuel economy bites with this V10, about 11.9 mpg from what the display says. Apparently, I have read stories that this should improve to 14-16 mpg at some time. I have about 10,000 miles on it, anyone hear this story too? Anyone out there with a diesel have a better luck with mileage, let me know.

Also, has anyone had a problem with:
1/ Front spring noise during cold starts.
Very evident while driving over roads with dips and bumps.

2/ Abnormal "creek" noise under driver side floorboard.

3/ CD shuttle in center console operations.

4/ Finally, CNN reported that factory Excurion rubber is on the recall list too.

I am happy with the vehicle, just think I am getting boned a bit on the mileage. But it's still bigger and better than my last 1998 Suburban turbo diesel I had. I dont even want to start on that piece of junk.

I have a 2000 PSD Limited. I get about 16 all around and about 20 mpg on highway. Before I bought the diesel I spoke with a friend of mine who has the V10 and he said that he barely gets 10mpg on the highway.
