Any owners of 2-WD Excursions having problems with noisy front suspension?
My V-10 Limited seems to have knock from
drivers side over minor bumps and expansion
joints. Dealer did check, verified noise
but everything appeared tight.

 

I've got 2000 miles on mine and noticed the same loud clunking when driving slow over rough roads. I greased the front end thinking that the ball joints were dry but still hear the same thing. It hasn't got anoying enough to see a dealer yet. Let me know if you get anywhere with Ford.

I also greased steering linkage when I changed the oil. The ball joints cannot be
greased. The noise seems to go away when the
brakes are applied. Any ideas on possible noise from pads or calipers?
