97 f150 to 00 excursion

im thinking about selling my f150 for an excursion but i need to know if i am making the right decision. the excursion is an 00 limited with the power stroke diesel in it it has gale banks exhaust a tuner a chip a k&n intake a exhaust temp. reader diesel tweaks system and a few more things. it has a 140,000 miles. i have herd the engine in this is garbage ford has had a lot of problems with these engines, especially in the excursions. so i need to know will this be a reliable dependable truck thats gonna last me for a while?

I haven't heard of any problems with the 7.3L diesel. Most of the problems were with the 6.0L (2003-2007).

Nice truck. I say go for it.

Don't take offense to this, but that whole thing sounds silly. As for the fist part, I don't know what you heard or from who but they weren't real educated in regards to the PSD's.

The last sentence no one can answer. It's a 140k mile truck that is modified. It may be a great truck, it may be trashed. It may have already had normal service items replaced that need to be replaced at that age and are expensive, or it may not have.

That didn't give you an answer like I assume you were hoping for, but that answer can't come from "some guy" on a forum.
