Question Cruise Control Surging

Having a "surging" problem with my '01 Excursion's cruise control.

It's equipped with the 5.4L gasoline engine and I'm only having problems at about 70 MPH.

Doesn't seem to matter if I'm driving on level grades or up and down hills. However, the surging is greater when going up and down hills.

Any thoughts or advice?

Thanks in advance.

Ford has issued several TSB's concerning this problem. Check the RECALLS & TSB's link at the top of this page.

Cruise Surging

Thanks for the tip.

The link takes me to the TSB, but it doesn't show any details.

Is there a web site that shows the details of the TSB -- I'd like to know a little about this before I attempt to fix the problem myself or take the truck into the shop.

Thanks in advance !!

Cool I found this the other day

I found this bit of info the other day but can't seem to find any details:

Bulletin No: 15367
Date of Bulletin: 04/16/2002

Summary Description:

SOME VEHICLES BUILT AFTER 12/4/00 AND EQUIPPED WITH A 5.4L OR 6.8L ENGINE MAY EXHIBIT INCONSISTENT SPEED OR SURGING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT APPROXIMATELY 46, 70, OR 92 MPH. *TT

Any ideas as to where this can be found for details?
