Talking My Thoughts about the Ford Excursion

Is there anything bigger than a Ford Excursion????, ummmmm NO! LOL I rode in my buddies Stepmothers Excursion. You get in, seat yourself and ride along looking only at 1 direction, down lol We got up behind a Dodge Caravan, you would think the person in the van is wondering wtf is creeping on his a$$ lmao!

Need I say more to describe the Excursion when I say "huge"!!!!!!! It's like your towering over everything you see, every car, even a half ton p/u you literally look down on!!!! Unless the other guy has 6" lift and some 36" Interco Boggers on there. One would think the Ford Excursion comes stock with a suspension lift, nope that's stock ride height buddy, lol

You would have to dedicate just 1 day waxing the damn thing unless your just fast or do it by machine. My right arm, even after something easy to use like Zaino, would still be tired out. If any other car company can come out with something more immesne lookiing than the Ford Excursion, I wanna see it, hehe,,,,91

they are flipping beasts... if only I could afford one. My uncle got a half ton Suburban... still not as impressive as a Excursion.

We got ours for $7000 off sticker. hehe Told the dealer what we'd pay, and that was that. They were happy to sell it since they are apparently hard to move off of the lot. It's hilarious to see people gawk at me when I get out. "You drive that big thing? WOW! You handle it well!" Then I REALLY stump them when I tell them "I drive 18 wheelers, too!"

I still miss my F150 though...

Good Call RP,

Since they won't be around for much longer we need to keep them in the topic even more , by the way, I saw another one the other day at my friend's uncle's girlfriends house when we went there for lunch and some boating on the lake... awesome rigs. My friend's uncle's 7.3 Liter 1995 F-Series Truck was a beast though also. Thats my comment for the day.

Thumbs up Stretch Excursion

I was in the city the other day and I saw a stretch Excusion Limo. That thing was big. It was about the length of a school bus. Makes a stock excursion look like a Bronco II. LOL I'll bet it is probably hard to park though.

Yeah, I'd say a regular Excursion is difficult to park... much less a stretch... LOL!

Here's a story to add to the Excursion forum. Many years ago I parked my work car next to an Excursion one day. At lunch time I went to get in my car to go to the bar, but stopped to check out the truck. Both he and I where backed in our spots with the rear of our vehicles touching the chain link fence. My 1975 LTD was about 3/4 inches longer than the Excursion!

in a perfect world the wife would have an excursion and id have a f350 super crew 8' box and duallys.

not because we would need em. juat want em.

could you imagine my wife going from a focus to an excursion?
id need the 350 to protect my self while she was following me.

So why are they getting rid of the Excursion? My neighbor has a power-stroke one, and I like it.

The v8 is underpowered for it. Maybe people were put off by the v10 or diesel choice? I see so many Suburbans around here, I find it hard to believe Ford couldn't make a go of the Excursion.

they aren't selling enough

Ford tried to justify making it by saying they would sell half of them to mining and forestry companies...

one catch

No XL trim available. Yep it seems logging crews dont ride in leather equipped trucks.

So this is to be replaced with an extended length Expedition.. so as the Suburban is to the Tahoe, the Exp Long WB will still have 3 rows of seats, but more trunk.
