Hmmm...interesting. But then I guess they are abandoning the 3/4 ton truck foundation, which is too bad in my opinion. Well at least the Expy platform has the 4R100 transmission (or whatever the new version will be).

I believe that Ford is embarrased with the Excursion, that being a gas guzzling SUV, existing in this nation's age of energy conservation.

the Expy suspension could still be upgraded like the F150 has the 7700 payload package.

they should produce that Desert Excursion concept truck. That was one awesome looking vehicle.
