I need a new transmission. It’s going to run me right around $3K. I figure this will put a big dent in the cost. I will also trade this for a local rebuild in the Reno or Sacramento area. If a trade I need it to be done in a shop so there’s no warranty issues. It has to be built much stronger then stock. I was quoted $1800 for a stock rebuild and $3K for the beefed up transmission and $5K for a built proof transmission.

He guys a new job requires me to travel 214miles a day and once I move to Fallon,NV it will only be 160 a day. My wife’s 99expo gets about the same crappy 16mpg on avg my 01 gets but I still need a transmission. I’ve put the rebuild on hold for the next few months until I can save up the cash for the rebuild. If any one has a 1995 to 2000 Saturn 4dr with the ultra gas sipping 1.9L in it with a 5spd preferred I would like to trade and may be willing to trade a few other pistols or rifles for it so as long the car isn’t beat to hell and has under 130K miles on it. I’m open to other gas savers let me know what you have. I need some thing that gets around 30mpg and isn’t ready for a hand fully of new parts. Thanks.

BTW IM in the Reno area so I would like to meat in person within a few hundred miles to make a trade
