2002 Dodge Ram 2500 $9500 OBO

I've got a plentiful 2002 Dodge Ram up for sale... its got 177,020 miles. The engine is worth more to be honest.

Here’s what it’s got to offer:

Extended cab

Cloth seats

Automatic transmission

24 Valve Cummins Inline-6 Turbodiesel Engine Intercooled

Trailer Towing package

Tekonsha Brake Controller

AM/FM Radio with cassette

Air Conditioning

Color Keyed Bumpers

Power Windows

Power Door Locks

New Tires and Brakes

Only very light surface rust – No body/frame damage due to rust

New Bed liner

120V A/C Block Heater

Privacy Glass

Trailer Tow mirrors

ABS with 4 wheel Disc Brakes with new pads and rotors

Issues:

Missing fusebox cover, seatbelt cover and radio antenna.

Automatic transmission shifts erractically. Still driveable, but it seems as if there is a line pressure adjustment or else the tranny and/or torque converter needs to be replaced. Could be a relatively cheap fix or expensive. Not quite sure.

When you turn the truck off, the accessory belt squeaks. It’s in need of a new belt, but that is an easy fix.

Other:

Truck starts up everytime. Never had a problem starting it in cold temperatures. The truck doesn’t use glow plugs as it uses a matrix grid heater in the intake and it seems as if it working great because I was able to easily start it up in 32F weather. The engine idles properly, turbo spools great, no check engine lights, and no questionable powertrain noise (ie: valvetrain noise, connecting rod noises, etc). The truck is in great shape, it’s got new 10 ply “E” rated tires, new brakes all around. The paint in excellent condition for its year. There are some minor nicks and scratches, but nothing major.

UPDATE:

I am in the process of installing a new transmission with a bulletproof transmission and torque converter with a 2 year warranty, basically making this truck mod ready.

I have to up the price because of how much I am spending on the tranny. I will not go any lower than $9500 unless you give me a good reason. I also am willing to in house finance with no interest charges.

Prefer local pickup only, but can arrange for delivery for an extra charge.

I highly recommend test driving and looking at the vehicle before making any decisions.

quick question, if you are spending 4k on trans work, why not just make it a 6spd manual?

also be careful with in house financing.

Update:

Got new tranny and converter installed. 24 month transferrable warranty on tranny.

Installed 2 new batteries as well.

This truck starts up in -8F so far with no issues.

Asking $9,500 FIRM and NO inhouse financing. Pay by check, bank wire, or other means.

There is nothing wrong with this truck! No check engine lights, brake lights, etc. Drives like brand new.
