FS: 1996 Shadow VLX Deluxe w/ Aftermarket Accessories! $2400

Perfect around-town and recreational bike! This is a 1996 Honda Shadow VLX (VT600) Deluxe. The Deluxe editions have more chrome and two-tone paint over the standard VLX. I've owned this bike for the past three years and have used it for riding to work as well as canyon and recreational cruising. It's been very reliable for me, I've never had any problems with it at all. It is an excellent starter bike; very forgiving, lightweight, and manueverable. Great power, and can cruise along at 70mph and still have some twist left. Gas mileage ranges from 55-65mpg depending on the type of riding I'm doing. It has great clearance in the twisties for a cruiser; doesn't drag the footpegs as quickly as my friend's Shadow Aero. I get compliments on it all the time, from riders and non-riders alike.

In the past 5000 miles, I've replaced these maintenance items (normal wear and tear):
-Both front and rear tires
-Front brake pads
-Drive chain and BOTH sprockets (stock sized)
-Battery

I've also added a set of drag bars, new Kuryakyn grips, and 6" pullback risers as shown on these pictures. These items were just put on THIS YEAR. These have given the bike an aggressive stance as well as have made the bike slightly more comfortable for me. Lower speed manueverability was improved as well over the stock handlebars that were on it. There is also a newer set of aftermarket mirrors, headlight visor, and radiator guard currently on the bike. The seat was recently recovered. The stock exhaust was modified for a beefier sound and better power.

For ASKING PRICE, I will also include:
-Genuine Honda Accessories sissy bar (missing some mounting bolts, but nothing a trip to a hardware store can't fix)
-Hard leather sissy bar pack, perfect for carrying registration papers and two 32oz bottles of water. Already attached to sissy bar.
-Another set of drag bars that are a couple inches longer than the one currently on the bike. Bought new, never used. You can switch them out if you'd like, it's a very easy process especially since the left grip hasn't yet been glued on permanently.
-Stock risers, in case maybe you'd like to switch to ape hangers or maybe stock buck horn bars (I no longer have the stock handlebars, sorry).
-Battery tender to keep battery charged in the winter.
-An extra quart of motorcycle oil.
-A medium full face helmet, blue, black, and white with flower designs on it, perfect for a girl.

There are some imperfections, which is a given considering this is a 13 year old bike with 23k miles on it:
-A dent in the gas tank on the right side from a minor mishap the previous owner had (you can see it in one of the pics).
-Some slight fading on the top of the gas tank.
-Right rear turn signal is missing a bolt, still attached though. Also has some of the plastic chrome scratched off from aforementioned previous owner.
-The rubber bushings that prevent the gas tank from rattling and vibrating are also gone, but for asking price I will replace these FOR FREE.
-Clutch lever has been slightly bent (don't lend your stuff out to friends)

Other than that, this bike looks and runs great. Its registration is current and I still use it for commuting to work and for fun weekend rides. This bike has been very well-maintained since I've owned it and doesn't really need anything at all. Only selling because I'm thinking of trying a different type of bike (sport or sport tourer) or maybe getting out of the riding game altogether.

Asking price is $2400. Thanks for looking and keep the shiny side up!

Thanks! I'm located in northern Utah, but I'd be willing to deliver or meet halfway for a small fee.
