Question Strobe lights

I was wondering is there an easy way to make your truck lights stobe, like emergency trucks/cars, pace cars etc. I guess what I am looking for is some kind of relay or where you don't have to wire all the lights.

Thought it would be a neat mod for tailgaters. When they are right up on my butt I could turn the strobes on and watch them freak out.

Wig-wag unit (headlight flasher)...

I install them all the time on police cars I set up. They are quick and easy, but illegal as can be. No difference between wig-wags or blue dash light used on a non-emergency vehicle. It would still be classified as impersonating a police vehicle. Anyways, I would like to add a clear hide-away strobe kit in my front corners (when I get my new heads and clear corners) and that would be against the law as well

You cannot make the stock lamps strobe.
That requires a fast firing bulb and a high voltage controller. Incandesent lamps do not come up to full brightness fast enough to simulate a strobe.

That requires the strobe lamps and a controller / ballest to do.

Sorry for the bad news, the closest is the wig-way feature, which is just going to alternate the tail lights, you wil not have the brightness of the strobe light. Either of these mods would require a centain amount of wiring to make work.

Thanks for the replys. Thats about what I figured, first illegal and that the stock lights would not be able to do it correctly or at least not do so without replacing often.

Hmmmmm, maybe my idea about wiring something to lower and raise the tailgate from inside the truck might work. When I lower it I would have a fake (but look real) canon aimed at the tailgater, that might get thier attention...
