Remote start with GM 4.3l v6 ?????
I know this is a Ford site, but I have a friend that has requested that I help him install (do it for him) a remote start in his wifes '92 S10 Blazer with a 4.3 v6. I have heard rumors that remote starts and GM products don't get along. I have heard about ignition computers going bad from GM mechanics and have heard other rumors of engines actually prematurly requiring rebuilds due to computer problems caused by the remote start module.
Has anybody else heard of these problems? I realize that the remote start module is just a series of relays and switches and don't understand how this would cause troubles.
Any help and any wire locations / colors would be appreciated.

Your right, they most likely don't cause the problem. The problem is it is a GM....
