Another headlite problem

98,s-cab,4x4,4.6l,auto,Lariet.Auto headlites.

Here is my problem, when the truck is running and its nite time .
A. Headlite switch off/Autolite on
1. tail lites - on
2. marker lites - on
3.license plate - on
4.drls - on
5.lowbeams - wont work
6.highbeams - push stalk forward - wont work
7.highbeams flash to pass - push stalk backwards - works

B. Headlite switch on/autolite off
1-7 behaves the same.

C. Pull headlite switch to activate fogs/autolite off
1-7 behaves the same and no fogs.
all fuses are ok.

I'm stumped,Which relay is it ?

ok, i think its a broken wire at the back of the muti****ion sw. its going to be red/yellow. i have looked they sys over and thats it. hehehe. you need to check to see if you have power at the multi sw. on the red and yellow wire. with auto on and off. that is the feed. the flash to pass has its own feed. im sure thats it. i might not get back here soon so let me know. good luck.

Did you by any chance, replace your headlights, perhaps with a different set of aftermarket bulbs, like 9005's??????

If so that's the problem, 9005's have 1 filament and only will work on High Beam setting.

The correct lamps for F-150's are 9007, two filament bulbs.

Thanks, I ended up replacing the multi switch.$68.00 and about 15min. The new switch was different from the original in color.
Works perfect.
