Turn On the Lights => High Temp Light
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a used 1998 F150 and of course I found something odd after I drove it off the lot. d'oh!
Here's the deal: When I turn on my headlights, the dashboard lights come on as they should, except that the red indicator light near the "H" on the temp gauge comes on as well. I don't seem to be experiencing any actual temperature or engine problems, just this distracting red light on the dash whenever my lights are turned on. To my untrained eye it looks like a case of mis-wiring or a stray/misplaced lightbulb behind the dash.
I haven't contacted the seller yet, but I thought I'd ask the question in this forum to see if anyone has any ideas or insights. Ideally, I can approach the seller with a solution in mind rather then letting them troubleshoot it blindly.
