Angry Outside cab lights melted!

I'm talking about the two white lights on either side of the third brake light. At first I only had problems with the bulbs burning out constantly, but now the housing has melted, enough to crack above these two bulbs. The cracks extend from the bulb mounting flange to the outside white area of the lens. I'm about ready to just buy the standard solid red lens and do away with them altogether. I do spend alot of time with the doors open doing mods and other activities, but you'd think they would use a matierial that would not melt due to the heat of a low wattage bulb?? Sheeez, do they make a billet cover without holes for the cab lights?,,,,,98
