Airbag warning light....

Okay, I've searched through a number of the archives, and while I've seen several issues that *may* be close, nothing seems to match what I'm seeing.

My 99 F-250 LD will occasionally have the airbag warning light flash on the dash, and then light up continously.

If I shut down the truck and restart it, the light goes out, and it won't happen again for quite some time. I'll generally see this about every 2 weeks or so.

Before I take it to the dealer (since it's LONG out of warranty), does anybody have any idea on what might be causing it?

It never happens on start-up BTW, but will pop on occasionally while I'm driving. This makes it difficult to track down if it's a fault code of some sort, as I'm generally watching the road, and not the light....sigh.

Any ideas on where to start looking for a solution to this?

Thanks,

Pat

me too!

Hey Pay. This just started happening to me as well (twice so far). I have a 97 f150. Did you ever get this issue resolved or are you just living with it?
