Which wire do you tap into on the parking light to add a set of fog lights.

According to my Haynes manual for a 97-98 the power for the parking lites comes out of the 15a fuse in position 7 to the main light switch on tan/white, and out of the main light switch on brown. I would tap the brown wire and put in a fuseable link (the OE fog lamp setup has a 5a) and run the lamps out to the front. I've never done it, but it sounds like it would work.

Keep checking back, the site is full of people who really know their stuff!

Is that the same color as the one up on the parking light after I take the head light out? I have a wiring kit with everything in it.

Yes. According to Haynes the wire should be the same color brown in the L/R front and rear parking light and license plate lamp. Just to be safe you could check the back license plate lamps because they would be easy to look at.

I did just about the same thing as XLT-Sport except I have a power relay triggered by the parking light circuit, that way if your fogs are on they shut off when you shut off your parking lights. I use the fog light switch when I don't want fogs at all. I guess the only drawback is that you can't run fogs without the parking lights, but it prevents accidentally leaving the fogs on to drain the battery (First hand experience )
