I have installed a Crimestoper SuperRage alarm/remote starter on my 2001 Supercrew. It seems like a great unit and has super range on the remotes. The truck came with factory keyless entry and has a CSM module. I connected the crimestopper door lock connections past the CSM so locks would work anytime. But if engine is running - the crimestopper unit won't recieve the remote signal to unlock the doors. I have checked the connections and triggered the unlock relay manually with a jumper and doors will unlock. If engine isn't running locks work great and remote has about a 1200ft range. I have sat in truck and put remote next to reciever with engine running and it acts as though it's not recieving the signal. Does anyone know if the factory CSM puts out some type of jamming signal when engine is running and any type of work around - besides the door keypad??

It's a real pain to have alarm armed and do a remote start to cool off truck before leaving work and not being able to disarm/unlock doors with the remote.

 

I talked with Crimestopper Tech support and was told problem was with Tach wire. I had taped tach wire to an ignition coil - he said this would cause the interferrence I was seeing. He suggested I use the tachless setup for the remote start. Clipped tach wire loose and problem solved - truck still starts great and now keyfobs work doorlocks ANYTIME - motor running or not.

 

Great, my works great. I have the CrimeStoppers too. The Remote/starter, Works great. My loks the doors when start, and I can unlock them too while in start mode. Than I step on brakes and it locks it.
