I am trying to find the code to the door keypad on my 00 lariat. The owners manual says its on the owners card and also taped to the computer module. The previous owner must have kept the card, and I can't find anything taped to the computer. They are referring to the computer on the passenger side by your toes, right? I found another computer looking device on the driver's side but it didn't have anything that looked like the code either. Checked the engine bay including the wiring harness for the passenger side computer and nothing there. Am I just overlooking it, or is it somewhere else? Any other way to determine this?

 

The code is printed on the RAP Module located up above and forward of the parking brake pedal.

Also, I just found out that the dealer can pull the numbers using their code reading software. I have the OBDII hookup for my laptop but have not tried it yet.

I got my 2000 XLT new so the card was there! When I installed the remote keypad in the door handle I just plugged in the code and the doors unlocked - wicked cool. In searching around I did find the numbers on the RAP Module.

Hate to say this but if all else fails - try the dealer . . . they will probably charge you to pull the number but what can you do!
