wiring electric brakes

I am about to attempt to hook up an electric brake controller. I have located the controller interface near the gas pedal, and the relays seem to be in place in the fuse box. The truck is only pre-wired with the 4 pin flat system. I have purchased the 4-7 pin adapter with the electric brake pig tail wire. Can anyone tell me where to find the wire from the controller/wiring harness that will attach to the 7 pin electric brake wire?

thanks

Hi JimB Welcome!

It might help to post what yr. truck?

I think that has been posted here before...Did you do search?

Yes...as you know..you do need that wire for elect. brakes on TT...from controller to the 7 pin plug. Also you may/maynot need the 12V wire (pin) to chg. TT battery or lights etc?

Im just guessing....did you look for another harness with plug..not being used..at rear..under bed...near or by frame.

Maybe someone here knows for sure?

Good luck...OT

You should probably post this or have it moved to the towing section. There was a lot of info there about it.
