Key will not turn

I have a 97 F-150 and this morning the key decided to not turn. Any ideas I would hate to tow this thing in for such a trivial problem. Help I need my truck back

Have you tried the simple things like moving the steering wheel back and forth to release the pressure on the "interlock" switch?

That freaked me out the first time too

I was like WTF? I pulled as hard as I could on the steering wheel in one direction, and it let go
