Relay Usage

I have a 97 F150 Super Cap. Under the hood is the standard fuse block with some relays. These are covered in the owners manual. Next to this box is another smaller box with some additional relays. These are not covered in the owners manual. Does anyone know the function of these relays?

Hi JW WELCOME!

I know what you mean. I dont have any specs. on that second fuse box. Maybe someone here does?

Did you see thread above...trailer running lights..by fell

Second smaller box for trailer lights and i think turn signals, but?

This smaller second fuse box near main fuse box is not on my 99SC.

FORD mystery? Certainly not a good idea to omit that from the owners hand book. For what ever reason appears to have been over looked when sent to printer????

I recall someone posted here that they found that second fuse box on their truck after taking off a bunch of black tape. Geez!

Good luck....OT

I tore into that bad boy on mine looking for the turn signal relay, I heard the clicking in there. Well now I know that that isnt what I was looking for but that box definitely has something to do with the turn signal. And yes they taped the hell outta it. I even pulled a few out and then got scared that I screwed something up but all is well.

Thanks for what info you all do have.

OT, I also had to wade through some black tape to get it open. Luckily, I had some more black tape to put back on....

I am coming to believe they have something to do with the tow package. Guess I will just start trying things till they click.

Thanks guys,
JW
