Unlock all 4 doors automatically when ignition turns off?

I have 2001 Supercrew XLT with power locks & remote keyless entry.

Currently when I shift into drive all 4 doors lock. When I stop and turn ignition key off only the drivers door unlocks.

Is there a modification which can be done which would have all 4 doors unlock when turning iginition off?

My driver door doesn't even do that! Then again, when it's locked I just pull on the handle to open the door. I don't have to unlock it first. Same thing with the passenger door.

I had an alarm system installed, the sidewinder, and it locks and unlocks the doors when the ignition is turned off. I'm sure many of the alarm companies do this also.
Good luck!

I just had my truck in at the dealer for the radiator upgrade - the dealer indicated there is no mod which can be done to make all 4 doors unlock when the ignition is turned off.

I'll have to check into an alarm system - not sure if this minor inconvience is worth the cost.

(Also, a correction to my original post - the driver door doesn't unlock when the ignition turns off. As indicated in post by Sean Harris "....I just pull on the handle to open the door. I don't have to unlock it first.")

See your owner's manual, there is a pretty in-depth sequence you have to preform to disconnect the Atuo-lock feature, you have to like turn the key so many times and press the lock button,,,pretty weird stuff, but it is possible to undo, just look under auto-lock feature in owners guide- medic
