CB radio install

Thru anyone's experience, where's the least painless place to tap for a 13.8W CB radio??

I'm also trying to find a place to locate the antenna . . . . don't want it on the roof and a tonneau cover over the bed is taking away some possible locations . . . any suggestions?

power point

I ran a wire straight to the batt. For the life of me i could not find
a good source without splicing into the harness, and i just could not bring myself to cut the harnes. if you do go to the batt, dont forget to put a fuse!
as for the ant. mine is in the middle of the bed aganst the back window, dont know what to tell you since you have a cover.

Hi Spidy

You may be able to come off the under dash fuse panel with a fuse tap....avail. at local auto store.

Like 5.4X4..i ran wire from batt. to radio. #8 but more than radio inline.

I use mag. mount centered on cab roof.

There are various type antenna mounts..side mounts, bumper mounts. You may find these areas on send/rec. alittle more directional than on the cab roof, but still work ok.

Been posted here awhile back..so try manuel search. Also:

Good luck...OT
