I have a 99 F-150 ext. cab 4.6L V8 and the air bag light keeps coming on. It blinks for a while, then stays on, then goes off and repeats the process over and over. Any ideas on what the problem may be?

 

Take it back to the dealer, Sounds like a bad light.

 

sometimes when the variuos lights flash, they are indicating a fault code. The dealer will need to plug in the truck to read the code. It could be serious, or it could just need a reset on the computer.

 

At first the lite was acting like yours, then it would not go out at all. Also had no horn or cruise control after lite was on constantly. Took it to a locaal dealer aand the service manager said it could be a bad clock spring, and it was, which is some thing under the steering wheel. But the "air bag clock spring" fixxed all three problems. Now I'm using my horn too much!!!
