none working turn signals, flashing aur bag light

I am looking at a 1994 F150 that is for sale. The turn signals do not work and the air bag light is flashing. The seller believes the problem to be a faulty switch that lies behind the steering wheel that controls both.

Does this sound like what the problem could be or does anyone have any other advice as to if this is a major or minor problem.

Thanks,

Martin

Martin,

You have to check out the Air Bag code.
The wires to the multi function switch could be damaged. Have you checked the fuse?

they are to diff circuit's. it sound's like there is two problem's. the wire's are not routed togather. check that code. the light should flash out a code when you first start it up. but the turn sig's. is another problem.

I had a similar problem ... air bag code, no horn, no cruise.

Turned out to be the clockspring.
