Question about adding a cluster with tach

Does anyone have any idea if a instrument cluster from a 99 or newer f150-expo, fit my 97 f150? I found one on ebay, and its dirt cheap. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Puddin, the 99 and up clusters are completely different, first the 97,98 have three plugs anthe 99 and up have two plugs. the difference is they are on a different system for the anti theft and everything in it is a different impulse, plus the ignition key has a chip in it, let alone nothing in the new cluster will run the with the old wiring, the new runs all of the computer. i know i just installed the lightning in my 97 extracab and i had to change all the wiring and all dash instruments. now i have the one out of my lariat which is in excellent shape and it has a rosewood overlay on it but can be easily removed if you want. it only has 49,000 miles on it and if you want it give me a shout at suns@hargray.com thanks gary
