OK, so I open the hood and I see the two releases on the sides of the bulbs. I pull on them and the glass refuses to budge. How the heck am I supposed to get to the bulbs if I can't pull the glass housings out?

Any help is appreciated!

 

I just did this about a month ago, so it's still fresh in my feeble mind.

I found out that you have to tug on those releases pretty good to get them to pop all the way up. A gentle tug will get them to move maybe a 1/4" but you have to pull the **** out of them to get them to release all the way...maybe an inch total. After that it's a piece of cake: the whole lens assembly can be steered out of the grille and the bulb assembly released and the bulb replaced. Also, the procedure is in the owner's manual, and that may provide more of a visual cue than any words could.

 

I stand chagrined that I did not think to RTFM before asking the question.
