Need a place to tap in the floor

I have two rechargable flashlights which I want to mount in my '01 Screw. I was thinking about putting them on the front of the center console. Somebody else suggested putting them on the floor between the drivers door and the seat. Does anyone know where there are hot wires running through the floor? I do not have the CD changer, is there still a lead running to my console? Does anyone know where the lead to the back seat accessory outlet runs? Any help is appreciated.

why would you want to put a hole in the floor? A sure fire way to start rust in the floor pan. The console works. Also consider the "B" pillar trim under the seat belts.

I have ruled out the floor because of rust, lack of space for what I need and the fact that drilling through carpet is a pain in the... However, I need to know where there are some hot power leads I can tap into...
