I did the Fog Light mod this weekend. Everything went fine. It works great. Love haveing the fog lights come on when the lights do automatically

Question is this. I thought I read somewhere that when this mod is done, the fog lights would stay on when the high beams were on. Mine go out just as before.

Is this so, or did I misread something.

I have connected the brown wire with the black/white wire per the instructions.

Just wondering.

All you should have to do is connect those two wires. Make sure you got a good connection.

 

I was under the impression that if there was not a good connection between the two wires, the lights wouldn't work in Auto mode.

Is it simply the wire splice that sustains the connection (fog lights on) when the brights are on?

What exactly did you splice what to?

If you spliced your fog lights to your low beams, then if you go into highbeam only mode your lowbeams would be off, thus, your fog lights would be off too. To test if this is the case, turn on your highbeams by "Flashing" or pulling back the lighting stalk. If your fog lights stay on this way that is your problem.
