changing manual window & locks to electric

I have a 97 f150 ext.cab 3rd door wondering if and how much trouble it would be to change to electric windows & locks from manual. Wondering if its pre-wired in the cab & if the doors are universal if I was to use Ford Equipment out of used door

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

Unhappy A LOT.

Not only do you need motors, relays, fuses, wiring harness, switches. You would also need new door panels unless you want keep the window crank and cut holes for the buttons.

I don't know if they're prewired. You could check by removing the door panel.

Manual locks and windows are not so bad. If you need power just get an XLT next time.

Check these guys out... they make after market kits to change roll up to power windows. Kit includes switches, activators, etc.
