Having decided to keep the truck for a couple more years, and bored to tears this morning, finally modified the ramp in the light switch and threw in the extra wire. What a piece of cake! Only took 45 minutes, no problems, although the **** lost a piece of the interior plastic. Works okay, but a little wobbly, so time to do some hunting at the junk yard.

Now maybe I'll hunt for that 'keypad mod for a '97 'thread . . .
