Rear door ajar light on

Well I should take one more picture but I’ll add it this evening. The white wire and a few others that are taped together by previous owner just to try n save money from a dealer cost of 1 hr labor in my opinion has failed. This pic doesn’t do much Justice but s buddy of mine who is s former combat engineer is gonna help me with it. After showing him the lousy electrical tape job on 2 other wires my concern was if the wires broke off at that connector then how would they be connected again if not going into the connector? He said he’s not going into the connector but just lengthening the wires. Purple yo purple green white to white black etc. I asked him if your not connecting to the wire from the connector then how are you gonna get it right?

anyway Sunday he’s gonna check it out. Cargo light stays on longer and auto door lock is temporary not functioning due to the wires being needing reconnected.

how much will afford dealership try to charge me if I gave the work to them? The black bootie is not fastioned to the inner door well so that needs to be done as well. I’m now income I’d hate to be billed. 135.00 an hour or more when I take it Tuesday for a 75,00 oil change on my 2012 F150 super crew 3.5 ecoboost . Take a look guys💪🏻 tell me what ya think. Sorry I’m such a dunce

appreciate any advice
