Front turn signals on the fritz
Front turn signals on the fritz
Hello,
I recently upgraded my headlights to dual halos. I wired everything up correctly. But my front turn signals stopped working, but my rear ones work fine. Double checked the wiring and connections. All fuses were fine, but replaced anyway. A friend said I more than likely killed the bulbs. Just replaced them to no luck. Would it be the relay if the rear still works? I'm not mechanically or electrically inclined. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if this has been discussed before. And I forgot to mention truck details. 2003 F150 King Ranch 5.4L
Again thanks.

First thing I would do is get a DMM (digital multimeter), even a cheap one from HF to see if you are getting the right voltage to the bulb socket. If you aren't then you'll need to start looking at the fuses and relays.
The Owner's Manual has this information in it. Or you can Ford Fleet and download a free copy of it and review the fuse block diagrams.
Good luck.

Do the turn indicators in the cluster work or not? They are in parallel with the front signals. If they do not work, the problem is "upstream" in or at the MFS. If they do work, the problem is "downstream", probably at the bulbs, their connectors, or the wiring.
This cannot be a fuse or relay issue as there are none that can cause this particular failure.
