Alternator help

Sup everyone. Ok so here I go. I put a mechman 370 on my 18 f150. Charging system light comes on and my headlights are flickering even with the radio off. I’ve tried everything I could think of. And still nothing works. But when I put the stock alternator back in I get no charging light and my headlights don’t flicker. The new alternator seems to be charging so I don’t know what I’m missing. Does the truck have to be reprogrammed or something. Or do I have to bypass that battery sensor? Also the voltage never stays steady with the new alternator it constantly goes from about 13.3 to 15.4 so I’m stuck here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Try a different alternator.
