Over the past few weeks, I've had issues with my radio not coming on (dead) . No radio, CD player , Sync, nothing works.Thought maybe it just died as I had noticed issues with the speakers since I bought the truck, but that was very intermittent. Sometimes the radio will stay off for a short while, then come back on. Other times it stays off all day but comes back on the next day. I noticed yesterday that when the radio dies, the digital clock blinks.
This morning I got in my truck and the radio is dead and the clock is blinking. Has been that way all day.
I did have some issues about 3-4 years ago with a harness that feeds the taillights. I remember the mechanic saying that Ford had some issues with wiring on that year truck. I'm thinking maybe a harness issue?
Has anyone heard of this or have any idea what I should do?
Man I sure hate the thought of taking this into the "stealership" but most local mechanics don't want to mess with electrical problems.
Any help will surely be appreciated.
