Bought used truck and a wire was clipped

I bought a used 2014 Ford F150 FX4 EcoBoost and notice that they ran a new wire from the harness to the rear of the truck. The wire is white green and is located down on the drivers side by the hood release. I have attached a picture but not sure what this one wire goes to. I have the harness disconnected while I was looking at it. There is enough wire left that I'm going to resolve the connection but would like to know what the harness is for and more specifically what t he white green wire controls.

Thank you.

Likely had an aftermarket alarm in it.

Lazy installers will not do it right, and do what you see here, instead of getting a bypass harness.

Whenever I install aftermarket alarms for anyone, I make sure to NOT cut any wires.
