Overheating warning system question

What warning systems are built in to a 2018 F150 5.0 if it lost coolant and overheated? I know there is a gauge on the dash, but would there be an audible sound like a buzzer warning as well ?

It's starts on page 356 in your owners manual regarding fail-safe cooling and what indications it gives.

No problem.

It's funny, after all the years of going through these manuals, I noticed that certain pictures and diagrams never change in the manual. LOL

Like for example, under the tires and loading, it still shows the original '97-03/04HER body style truck in 2019.

Finally had a chance to read up. I was asking because I was on my way to a mechanic/alignment shop with a collision repaired 2018 truck. I didn't realize that a coolant hose had disconnected and the engine had lost coolant at some point of my trip. I noticed some steam when I parked it and asked the mechanic to check it out. He came back with NO coolant in the block. Said he filled it and checked a couple time and everything seems OK. I have been worried ever since that I hurt something although the truck is running fine.
I did read where the system will go into "fail safe cooling" if the temp had got excessive. I don't remember any messages and wasn't watching the temp gauge when this happened, but I do remember that the motor was running normal when I got to my destination and didn't go into "fail safe" From this I hope all is well. I would have hoped there was an audible warning when this happens.

I think it would have gone into fail-safe if you had kept it running for much longer. When I blew the bottom hose loose from my 03, the temp gauge pegged out, then the CEL came on and it started running on 3 cylinders.

Note - the factory spring hose clamps suck. Worm drive is much better.
