2018 Ford 150 - Blind Spot Assist Fault - Cascading problems

I received a left side blind spot fault warning and had multiple issues stem from that warning or so I’m told. The running boards would not lower when the door was opened, the AC stopped working, radio buttons and steering wheel buttons would not operate. Lights would also not turn on. I was told by the Ford rep that this problem was a result of standing water in my right side brake light housing from a small crack in the housing which has apparently damaged the computer module.

Has anyone heard of anything like this?

No, but that should be covered by warranty!

What came of your situation? I'm experiencing the same issues. Dealership says its an act of god and not covered under warranty, but brag they do 5-6 a month at $3-4k price tag. Ford has been less than helpful in trying to determine if it is covered, disconnected every time I call. truck is less than 2 years old and about 25k on mileage. Taillight has the tiniest pin hole on the seam of the molding, wouldn't even notice unless you know exactly where to look. Clearly a defect in the manufacturing process.

Is it simply just plugging in a new sensor and a new taillight?
