No clue, lights won't shut off

While driving my 13 xlt the engine bogged down, sputtered. Gave it gas, and engine died. Wrench on display. Put it in park, restarted. Now headlights won't shut off and truck thinks keys are still in. No turn signals or control of lights high or low.have to disconnect battery or dead battery...was told it may be ECM...I sure hope not, was told that's $1000 just for the part

It sounds electrical.

Check your fuse boxes to make sure there isn't any water in them.

They look good. Two weeks prior my sync went out and had restart that. My guess it was the tell something was going to fail.

Come to think of it, the problem sounds more like a stuck relay.

I'd dive into your fuse boxes and check the relays.

By chance, do you have aftermarket headlights or HIDs?

Ok. Then I'd look at the relays first.

Way cheaper to even replace relays, than an ECM.
