I have a 4x2 2006 f150 that i would like to use the 4x4 switch as an auxiliary switch for backup lights. So i bought the switch and tested it with an ohm meter and only the two blue wires connect together but are not "switched". Anybody know if im missing a key part to getting this to work?

well i took the switch a part and found a complicated circuit board.
