Battery Management System
Battery Management System
I have a 2012 f150 ecoboost. I changed my battery, then replaced my alternator within a few days (yesterday!!). Now my battery light comes on and off intermittenly while driving. I ran by a shop that had a computer to reset as it had caused the check engine light to come on before replacing alternator, everything is charging, and everything is relaying him back to the charging system. HELP!!!! I'm $600 into just this alternator and battery and am not looking forward to having to go fight with the dealership. Any one have a way of resetting it so it registers that the alternator is charging since it is???
You might try disconnecting the battery for an hour or two, then hook battery back up and let it sit for 8 hours before you start it or use anything electrical in the truck. After you change out a battery it has to sit for 8 hours to reset unless it is reset with a program and a computer.
