arr... when the key isn't in the ignition and nothing is on, the door chime still goes off when the door is open. at first it would go away if i giggle the ignition, now it doesn't anymore.... anybody else have this problem? easy fix?

Do a search. I remember seeing someone else with the same problem a while back. Don't remember the fix, though.

 

I have something similar. After turning off the engine and removing the key, when I open the door it chimes a few times. If I wait 20 seconds or so it won't chime. Haven't gotten to the dealer yet to have them fix it.

Is this what you are seeing?

I may have the simple answer to this. Are your headlights on when the chime works with the door open? Does it go away when you turn them off?

 

Or if it annoys you that much theres a way to turn it off all together, can't recall how though, just try a search I'm sure theres a thread on it somewhere.
