2010 flasher relay question
As I embark on an LED swap of some of the lights on my 2010 F150 SCREW, I am trying to avoid the hyper-flashing problem. I have seen in several threads that the 2009/2010+ trucks do not have flasher relays for the turn signals. However, Ford offers such a 5 plug relay flasher for sale: http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/Pa...rd&model=F-150
Am I missing something? The Ford part looks a lot like the EP27 flasher relay offered to cure the hyper-flashing from LEDs without resorting to resistors/ballasts. I posted this in the Lighting subsection, but no response, yet.

2009 & 2010 MY F150s do not have a flasher, the SJB ( Smart Junction Box ) controls the front and rear lights by a FET being turned on and off.
When the multifunction switch is put in the signal position, this is the input to the SJB for it to trigger the appropriate FET the correct way.
- Flash the front and rear on the same side and when the brakes are applied have that rear taillamp be solid on.
The multiFunction Switch no longer carries the load for the turn signals as the 2008 and older MY F150s did with a flasher.

Sorry for the broken link. The part # is 13350 and I hope this link is good: http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/Ca...FB58551#Search
Regardless, the response confirms what further research of the forums disclosed - no flasher relay, now the SJB. Thanks, guys. I'm ordering 50 watt 6 Ohm resistors now.
