Instrument Panel Display Screen Not Working

Hi all, hoping someone here can help me out with some ideas:

I have a 2011 F150 Lariat and having troubles with the display screen on the instrument panel. When I turn the power on it displays the mileage, then the Ford image that falls into the grey background and makes the splash, but that's where it freezes. The screen stays grey and doesn't go into the instrument reading mode.

I haven't noticed any other issues with the instrument panel, or any other electrical issues. I pulled the negative lead from the battery hoping a power reset would help, but it didn't.

Anyone come across this before?

Thanks

If nothing else appears to be affected and the truck drives normally, it's most likely a defective instrument cluster where the processor that runs the video display is locking up.

A dealer will simply replace it for many hundreds of dollars. You might want to get in touch with one of the companies like Circuit Board Medics to see if their specialists might have some insight into your symptom and if they can repair it.
