Windshield washer switch problems

I notice that it is becoming more difficult to activate my washer fluid. I have to press harder on the switch to activate it. It seems the contacts are wearing out somewhere on the switch. Any suggestions appreciated....

You need to get the multi-function switch replaced. The early switch assemblies were notorious for weraing out quickly. My 97 F150 is on its third one.

Can anyone please mention a dollar $ on what it costs to replace switch? Would like to know what it would cost to have it done at a dealer or/and a parts cost if it can be done at home.

The switch itself is only about $50.00 online. I don't know what the dealer sells it for but they would certainly charge at least an hours labor to install it.

Mine doesn't work so well but I havn't replaced it yet. My understanding is that it is pretty simple to replace though.
