Alternator Replacement

I'm planning to take a long ride around the country in my 02 truck. It has 136k miles on it and I was thinking I would replace the alternator before I left as preventive maintenance.
What brand of alternator have you guys (and gals) had good luck with? Seems rockauto has a long list of available alternators for sale.

I replaced my '03 Screw's alternator, and just grabbed the one available at Advance Auto Parts. I never had a problem after and probably got 80K miles from that one out of 204K total.

It wasn't hard to do it, except for the dumping rain while I did it.

Thanks for the response.
I drove a 95 Mark VIII Lincoln for many years. According to the forums for that car, the only alternator that would last was the motorcraft. The OE was a Mitsubishi alternator and supposedly couldn't be rebuilt to last. That is why I am asking.
